Let Jim Settles, Head Golf Professional, Give You a Quick Assessment of Play at Burningtree:
While we don’t really have a “signature’ hole, you’ll find challenge and enjoyment on our fine, risk/reward course.
Heed Jim’s advice: “Your first six holes generally go a long way in determining your round. There are birdies to be had on the back nine, with a chance for salvation to your round.”
Best Par-5?
Jim favors #7, which is a 606-yard slight dogleg left, dogleg right.
Best Par-3?
Anticipate a challenging shot over water at #3. “If you’re short, you’re in it,” warms Jim. While not an island, it’s close, as 90 percent of the view of the green is waterfront. NOTE: to the far right 10 percent you can access the green without going over water
Toughest Hole?
Without hesitation, Jim says #5, which from the back tees is a 460 yard, par-4.
Most Difficult Green …
would be #18, a two-tiered green that slops from back to front, making for a tough finishing hole.
